Emerging from the pandemic. Where do we go from here?

It's safe to say that covid-19 has thrown us all for a loop.  While some people have been fortunate enough to be able to have employers who allow them to work from home, others have permanently lost jobs.  Still others are working the front lines not knowing what the future holds for them.

For many businesses, nothing will be the same again.  They've had to learn new ways of doing things, lost revenue, and lost valuable, knowledgeable employees as some people have moved on during the downtime. 

As restrictions lift, we face numerous challenges ahead.  But together we can help rebuild our communities.  With much co-operation, we believe that we all can emerge from this pandemic stronger than before.  But we all need a place to start.  A place to:

• people can find information relating to the latest updates regarding the pandemic, medical recommendations, and links to government assistance programs;
• people and businesses can share their wants and needs and connect with others who have skills, resources, and abilities;
• residents of Nanaimo and surrounding communities can work together to figure out how to navigate life in this "new normal" in which we find ourselves.
